VAG-COM fault code.help please

Featured Replies

following a intermittant fault, where if i lock the car doors from the drivers side door control, the passenger door will lock and immediately pop back up.

it is fine from the key fob luckily and stays locked. we're thinking drivers door controller issue.

log showed the following after clearing code and operating lock from drivers door(cleared 3 times and re locked just to be sure)

Address 46: Central Conv.

Controller: 1C0 959 799 B

Component: 3Y Komfortger

Could be some dodgy wiring somewhere? Maybe a wire that is worn through and grounding on the body of the car?

I got the exact same error about 3 weeks before my lock (passenger side) completly failed, preventing the door from opening. I had to replace the locking module. Apparently, the little motor inside the module started to die progressively. At the beginning, it would only unlock the door after several attempts with the remote/door button, but would open fine from the inside. After 3 weeks it simply stopped working and i spent 2 hours dismantling the panel with the door closed (what a pain in the...). I was lucky to salvage the module from a wrecked octavia. Installed it, worked just fine.

Good luck with that.
