Jabba Sport Re-map Group Buy

Featured Replies

Yep the group buy is still on. Just add your name to the list, although there's only 2 of us on the list at the minute so it's going a bit slow...

Price wise, from the jabba website the remaps are £375 inc VAT for the generic map or £475 inc VAT for custom remap. So with VAT and our 10% discount for groub buy that should be £337.5 for the generic and £427.5 for the custom remaps.

Of course I'm new to this group buy stuff as well so I may be wrong....

Nope...generic maps are not part of gbs...due to their already low price....they also don't include before and after plots as ther's no rolling road time....does include a full diagnostic check before mapping.

1.8t are normally £475 so that's £427.50....

PD are normally £425 so that's £382.50....

 Thought i'd subscribed by accident !!!

Count me in please for the Jabba sport re-map group buy!

where would this be taking place?

any idea of what bhp this would take a 1.8T up to?

This would take pace at Jabba..Peterborough.

Typically 1.8t map out to approx 215-225bhp...but would say the lower value is more realistic.

do they do remaps for naturally aspirated cars or is it just the turbo ones??

Hi, was just wondering how this would work?

What hapens if we manage to get 10 people on the list (looking unlikely ATM :-( )?

Do we then get emailed by the GB organiser, or do we get 'secret codeword' to say to Jabba, or what?

Do we all have to be there on the same day or can we book ourselves in whenever we want to? And how long will the discount be valid for?!!!

Sorry for all the questions but I couldn't find any other information on this.

Cheers,

Joe

EDIT: sorry, missed a page on the thread by accident that seemed to answer most of my questions!!!

ALTHOUGH, any other information on the GB would be helpful before I fully commit myself!!

You can get a naturally aspirated car chipped, however it is of little significance, you could expect (but dont quote me on this) a power increase of just a couple (2-4) bhp.

I think it effects engine responsiveness but its not the most cost effective method of producing a max of 10% power improvments.

If im wrong someone please correct me.

Interested but I must sell my REVO stage 2 ECU first, so leave me off the list for now...as it depends if it sells and for how much

Mike

I can't believe that 2111 people have looked at this thread (presumably indicating huge interest in the remap and the price!!) but there are only 4 people on the list!!

Come on peeps, grab a bargain!!!

PM me your questions and I'll answer them.

Can all those interested please reconfirm you interest please, as the list is not clear....hell, there isn't even a list!

Please cut 'n paste the list and add your name to it.

Come On People!!!! Don't Miss Out On This!!!!!

Im interested in this. Likes been mentioned before though, how does it work? Do we all go on the same day, and how long is the discount valid for?

My other concern is my VRS has just turned 72k on the clock and im a bit concerened it might be a bit much for it. What do you guys think? Anyone else running a higher mileage VRS with a jabba remap?

Bumpetty bump!!!!

No..you chose a date of your preference and which Jabba have available. So theoretically as part of the gb is lasts a year although you will have to pay a deposit and balance of actually remap.

Michael run a TDI 110bhp....had 200k on the clock when he mapped it to 150bhp....has over 250k now.

Jabba will do a thorough diagnostic check before doing your map and will infomr your of anything wrong before doing it.

Reliability does go hand in hand with how you drive your car...rag it and something will break sooner rather than later....

Damn you all!!!!! :-)

Currently 2388 views and ONLY ONE PERSON ON THE LIST!!!! and thats me!!

Hurry up for gods sake or i'll have to go and get it done at the full price :-(

Would love to do this but being based on the Isle of Wight it would cost me a fortune to go up to Peterborough for a morning. Do they do re-maps by postal service????

They use to be able to do this...you'd have to send your ECU.

Probably a generic map so in that case it couldn't be part of the gb as, only custom maps qualify.

I know it's a long way...I travel up from Hampshire myself...but definately worth it.

We've had members travel from all over the place to Jabba...the further I believe is Christian from Norway.

You may also be able to coordinate a meet up with other members who are being mapped on that day.

People, I'm soooooo sorry but I just couldn't wait any longer so I had mine done at Jabba today. I'm really sorry to let you down lozgti, but I had waited for a few weeks and unbelieveably doesn't seem to be enough interest in this :-(

Shame really, as the custom map I've just had done on my Fab vRS is flippin AMAZING!!! Thanks all at Jabba for excellent service, especially Micheal for the mapping!

The car is a flier now :-)

Lozgti, if you are desperate but want to wait for nine more people to join the GB then be my guest, but trust me - you'l wonder why you waited so long!!!!

Once again, sorry for dropping out, but I hope you'll forgive me?!!

Joe
