I would like to replace the black stock aerial for an aftermarket silver one. Having bought a 'beesting' one in the past for a different car, reception was rubbish. Have any of you guys had good results with a particular brand etc and if so, which one ? Cheers, Jon.

At risk of sounding grossly inadequate and possibly even stupid, why don't you just paint it silver? Or have I overlooked something here? (Could be an age thing!).

I bought one from vauxhall from a zavira as they make two different sizes.The shorter of the two is about the same size as a beesting arial maybe a smidge longer but a lot shorter that a standard fabia one.You have to trim the plastic off the bottom b4 fitting but the reception is as good as the standard arial.

I did this on the Megane and the radio reception was crap. IMHO its not worth it
