Hi! I hope someone have some good ideas for me here. We have a 2011 model, Skoda Octavia. And we can`t open the bonnet. We had it to a mechanic, who says we need to cut a hole in the grill to fix it. Is that really how we need to do it? Is there no other way, an easier way to open the bonnet? 

 

And if somebody would be so nice and take a picture underneath the bonnet, where the bonnets open on a 2011 model i would be really happy, so mayby we could se how i works, and mayby find a way.

Seems to come up fairly regularly.  Read through this thread as a start and try a few things.  It depends a bit on what has actually failed or if it is jammed somehow.
