Broken Radio/FAKRA antenna

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Had to swap my Amundsen unit back to the old Stream in my mk2 octavia the other day whilst it went away for some work. Went to pop it back in the other day and it seems tucking the radio cable out of the way did it no good, and I'm left with just a silver cap and a copper core as per the attached images. Anybody have any suggestions on a fix? Or has the tools and can  help me out (somewhere in East Anglia hopefully ;) )

Help, tips and suggestions are much appreciated!

Thanks
Rob

I believe its the one that plugs into the back of the unit for the radio signal. With the steam it has a white plastic cover with a purple clip. When used with amundsen you take that off and theres another 'end' that goes into the back of the amundsen. But mine just seems to have lost everything
Theres one with a blue end and thats fine, but thats the GPS I believe.

Why wasn't it connected to the stream when you had that installed? I would've thought it was needed for the radio to work.

Anyway, you'll need a new fakra plug to go on the end of the cable. I'm on mobile at the moment but ill have a  search when I can.

This should be what you need. Link.
