My car is scheduled for production line in week beginning 1 May.  Anyone know how long the line takes to turn out the car?

There was something on the Skoda facebook page that said it took 72hrs to full assemble a car, I presume that it means taking the pre-painted shell and bolting/sticking everything else to it. Engines come mostly preassembled and are just dropped in. Don't know how that translates into real world experience of when they actually leave the factory and are sent on their way though.

72 hours is from the metal being cut to the assembled car leaving the factory.  From there it's about 2 weeks to hit the Dealer.

Moving from a 2.0 D (140)   to a 2.0 220 TSI.  Might just notice a difference in m.p.g.  !!
