I have a company 2014 Octavia 2.0 150 CE 4x4 Estate which I'm thinking about buying off the lease company as I'm leaving the company shortly.

 

Its on 67k miles, the spec is very good - basically everything on the options list except sat nav as I was lucky enough to have some extra allowance. They want just shy of £10k for the car - I think its a reasonable price and other than the leaky pano roof it's been faultless and obviously I know it's full history. 

 

Its about 7k miles off the next service which if I bought it next month I'd be on responsible for and was wondering when the belts and any else major will be scheduled for replacement, previous Passats and Octaivias I've had with the 1.9PD engine have generally needed these at about 70-80k miles iirc.

 

Or do I go and buy a Subaru Outback on similar mileage for a bit less cash as I basically want a 4x4 estate with bi-xenons
