Ordered a new yeti

Featured Replies

I ordered a new Yeti 1.2 SEL in March this year. I have seen a few posts saying that this will be automatically upgraded to the SEL Drive spec. Can anyone confirm?I quite fancy having the sat nav and DAB. :)

I wouldn't be surprised if the last ones are almost unique as they put the broom through the old inventory.

Grab 'em whilst you can!

By March I believe the regular SEL had been discontinued and only the Drive version was available. Check with your dealer, he can check with factory.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was. I ordered my Quartz SEL Drive at the end of March and it was delivered on Wednesday. I'm picking it up tomorrow, can't wait. It'll be my first new car, coming from an unreliable and impractical BMW coupe.

Hi Delmac and welcome to Briskoda.

I wouldn't be surprised if yours was upgraded to Yeti Drive.

Mine was already in the UK when I ordered it at the end of March.

Fingers crossed, mate.

Yes, you should get all 'the goodies' as the SE and SEL models were upgraded to DRIVE spec earlier this year. You get about £2500 of extras. No doubt clearing the factory parts bins to make way for the new (non yeti) B)model.

If you look back to posts around Feb/April in these Yeti forums, you'll see what you should get in your new Yeti.

I'd have put the info here, but not sure how to insert a quote from another post.

Hope you enjoy your new car. We took delivery of our Pearl Black Yeti Drive in March and we are delighted with it.

Fingers crossed. Due to collect the car in a couple of weeks. I'll update then.

Ordered mine on 4th March. Yeti SE drive 1.2 with panoramic sun roof, towbar and spare wheel. Awaiting delivery. Hopefully before end of May.

Disappointment abounds. Called dealer yesterday to check if car had arrived to be told it's build date was today and so will be a further 2-3 weeks before collection is possible. Was meant to be collecting on Thursday.

Was nice of the dealer to keep me updated eh?!

That's disappointing. Did you order something special? I ordered my SE L Drive on 31 March and collected it on 02 May but could have been 28 April if I was available. Is it someting to do with dealer build allocations or something?

Nothing special. Dealer just said it was delays at the factory. Sounds like you managed to pick up a stock vehicle.

On the upside, it might mean you get a higher spec car as they get nearer the end of production and fit more goodies ?

You will get what was ordered as far as I know although the order may well have been upgraded.

mine was built last week with many extras and is now at the port waiting  to be shipped; shame I can't have it until 1st July after my current lease car is returned.

if your order was upgraded to the drive model the cost went up a bit towards the cost of all the extra options so you should have been aware of this?

So back to about 3 months from order to delivery, similar timescale to last summer

Clearly as orders were stopped few days earlier than expected, all remaining build slots before production ends in July (prior to factory summer break) must have been allocated.

I have just picked my first new yeti se drive 1.2tsi dsg and is have loads of extras over spec. Like heated seats and front screen, dab and satnav. Cornering assist spots to name a few. So order one sooner than later as they are running out quickly

Well this is turning into a bit of a saga. I contacted the dealer on Friday to be told that they still could not give me a delivery date as the car was not in the UK yet and that "several transport ships have been cancelled in the last few weeks".

Getting frustrated/exasperated now and I'm not happy with the communication from the dealership.

Has anyone else suffered similar issues?

Which Dealership Group would be supplying your new Yeti?

It's through Arnold Clark.

Ahh,  explains much,

best call Skoda UK Customer Services then and have them check your order and reason for delay.

I cannot believe this is still going on! You must be furious. I'd definitely get onto Skoda directly.

I am on to them as we speak. Unfortunately I do not have an order number and the dealers claim they cant give me one till tomorrow as "only admin have that info". Sounds like BS to me.

Skoda are going to investigate and call me tomorrow. Hopefully I will have some better news to give you. All I am looking for is a definite date so I can at least plan ahead. How hard can that be?

Hopefully they can give you an answer. Shocking experience. I had a look for my order receipt to see if there was a reference on it but I can't find it. There's none on my pre-sale agreement I got when I picked up the car though.

The Sales Person & the Senior Sale Executive are too busy trying to get more orders today from new customers to bother logging in and actually seeing what is going on with the order.

But as it is someone told you a story on Friday which is either true or untrue and tomorrow you will know which.

Then you can tell us which ARNOLD CLARK branch they were from.

All the best with it.

My dealer texted me last week to say my car was on the boat.

They have kept me up to date all the way through since ordering in March.

There was no rush for delivery with mine as can't take car until July hence it was stored at Emden for a couple of weeks.
