Interesting swicth

Featured Replies

Just noticed this switch which is located on the lower part of the B pillar on the driver's side.

Looking at the logo I assume it's something to do with the alarm.

Has anyone else noticed it?

Yes, it deactivates the interior sensors so you can lock the car and kids/dog won't trigger the alarm.  I believe it's also used when the car is getting towed.

Turns interior monitoring off...

If you have KESSY you can also do the same by double-tapping the door handle when locking the car.

You'll know if the interior detection is disabled as the small red LED on the door does not flash when you lock the car.

It disables the interior and level sensors... so you should press this button when locking the car on a ferry too..

Also useful when leaving the tops of the windows open on a hot day.

When I had my first Passat, I found the alarm kept going off when I left an electric cool box running, so also had to press the button for that.

Oh No, not another " OFF " switch

Reminds me of the Fabia MKI  " Off " Switch  :wall:    AAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

What did that do?
