Platform compatible seats ?

Any idea of compatibility between platforms, mk3 with mk2 etc ( straight in ) ?

e.g mk2 octy, Golf ? runners ?

Just I'd like to remove for seats for either cleaning or possibly retrimming and would be nice to have spare set to just chuck in so they space isn't empty in case I wanted to take it out in the meanwhile

.....even if its fronts only.

Failing that an effective seat base conditioner or fabric black colourant ( no running).

The lowest part of the seat base fabric black looks nothing like the seat upper or rear seats, seems really dry and a tiny bit faded looking and attracts dirt far too easy, and might even be worth seeing if someone can trim out that part with something better. The rest is fine.
