Damaged car PCP return

Featured Replies

So yesterday my Mrs managed to reverse her car into mine! Her car is a lease car and her insurance aren't bothered about the scratch to hers (I am as we've got it for another 2.5years!!!)

her insurance have offered me an amount to repair my car, and this is more than it will cost to repair.

The paint transfer should polish polish out but there are a couple of slight dents which cannot be smart repaired. If I polish the marks out and leave the dents will I get stung when I return the car at the end of the PCP?? Pics below which shows the damage

Well if they can't be fixed you're going to find out eventually.

I saw they were on a crease and knew that would be a ****.

You could try a bodyshop, they might be able to use some filler and skill to correct the ding. Your paint looks like flat red so they would have a decent chance of blending that. That sort of thing might be better left until just before you handed it back.

Lease company might not even bother that much but it would depend on their definition of wear and tear.

I'm going to swing by my local body shop tonight for a price, typical woman my Mrs doesn't think it's that bad! If it was dented I could polish 95% of it away.

Depends who the lease company are.

VAG agents are particularly anal I keep hearing, which is why I traded in rather than hand back and face a bill.
