How easy would it be to swap the radio system Amundsen Touchscreen Navigation fitted to the SE L version into a SE version,Bolero Touchscreen InfotainmentSystem with SD Slot so that sat nav is available, would it be a straight swap

Component protection might be an issue - as in, very expensive.

 

Depends on the car year, since (and this is hearsay, so take it with a pinch of salt) I heard that MIB1 devices do not have the component protection.

 

Of course, besides that, you would need quite a bit of coding and also, the Bolero unit has a "brain" in the gloveblox, while the Swing doesn't.

MIB1 devices do have component protection. It's a straight swap physically (as in all the components just remove and replace) but you'll need to source and site a GPS antenna, and then there's the issue of resolving the aforementioned component protection. A lot depends on what version you have at the moment and what version you're going to actually fit as to how much work is involved.

 

Easy to fit perhaps, but costwise I would work on £800 or so as a starting price.

An alternative is to fit the Kenwood Garmin Sat nav upgrade to the Bolero. Dealers do it for around £499 fitted.

 

You should be able to get the kit for less, and its an easy DIY  fit.
