My dashcam is intermittent, sometimes comes on others not. I suspect the 12v cig lighter socket on the centre console may be the culprit, is it easy to remove or does the centre console have to be removed?

I didn't find it very easy even with the centre console removed.  I'm still not sure how I got it out but took a lot of swearing and cursing.  Have you considered hard wiring it in to a switched live in the fuse box?
