Yesterday's journey from Wasdale in the Lake District back to home in Cambridgeshire.  Three adults and one child with a boot full of luggage.  Unfortunately the roads didn't make for easy progress but I don't think it's too bad for a laden 280.

I must confess I had a little smug smile on my face when I saw 37.7mpg on a run and in Eco mode, memories of my previous car (Toyota Avensis 1.8 CVT).... Then I noticed your heater settings and my OCD set in, 1/2 degree difference between left and right. That will plague me all day........ :blush

Blame the owner of the foot in the sandal:o

Hi,

This picture has puzzled me - if the average is 35.2mpg, how can the car have traveled 313 miles with 325 miles to go?

My picture from a recent drive is below - i was very pleased to get over 60mpg. This exceeded the brochure figure and if it wasn't for getting stuck in traffic, my figure would have actually been a few mpg higher.

There are 2 screens "since start" and "since refuel" these shots do not confirm if you added fuel during the journey or you used some of the fuel in a preceding journey or you operate brim to brim the you refuel and you therefore may not have 66 l in the tank as a reference point.

You have a 190 tractor :x You could drive to JOG to Land's End on one tank. I would say on the screen shot there you might have about 8 gallons left.

@wooyay Has a 280 ps beast of a car, brum brummmmmm and does use more fuel; 35 v 62 mpg and I would asses that he has about 9 gallons left in the tank.

If you both were filling brim to brim and looking at the since refuel screen then you would get a different picture, i do generally go brim to brim and usually before e journey but you can see the difference 547 miles vice 473:

I had to stop for fuel on the way so I'd already done about 90 miles.  The car seems to estimate around 450-500 miles per tank.

Yes, makes sense to me know - i forgot that the 'since start' screen is different to the since refuelling screen, my mistake!

We’ve just got back from a few days in Trearddur Bay and decided to take the scenic route home through Snowdonia. The journey was a real mixed bag, roughly 50/50 motorway and A roads, the A roads being quite slow (mainly 30 – 40mph) and as you may imagine, the roads were twisty with lots of up and down hill. I should add that the trip showed 426 miles (that being the mileage since I last refuelled) giving a potential range of over 800 miles… :)
