Tracker for New Octavia Vrs

Featured Replies

Hi all,

finally figured out how to post a new thread....thinking about getting a tracker fitted when I get my new rs next month. Anybody out there know much about them, what discounts you get off your insurance and where is the best place to get one, any ideas how much they cost and are they worth while getting.

All advice is gratefully received,

cheers, Conor.

Send smithy_vRS a pm. His daily job deals with this afaik.

And of course let us know, we'll all need to know about it as its going to be the way to go on security.

btw - We'll have to meet up when it arrives..... :)

Mixed views on trackers tbh, some love them, some not so keen, I fall into the latter category.

I "had" to have one on my old scooby to get insured, but the cost of the thing with the subscription was vastly disproportionate to the saving on my premium. I then found an insurer that was happy to insure without and let the subscription lapse.

If I had a heavily modified car that I had invested blood, sweat and tears in, then I would possibly get one, but if I had a standard car I would not unless forced, because if it was knicked I would not want it back after it had been thrashed and trashed by some scumbag.

For me, unless insurance insisted on it, I would say no.

Cheers
