Replacing the A-pillar trim

Featured Replies

Has anyone had to replace the external A-pillar trim?  A flying rock thrown out by an oncoming hgv nearly took out the windscreen, so I guess I should be grateful that only the black plastic A-pillar trim suffered the damage!

The dealer replaced mine as it was not ready for collection and may have gone unnoticed:biggrin:

around £150 was mentioned

OK - thanks for that @gumdrop.  No doubt £40 for the part and £110 minimum for labour!

Very fortunate that's all that come from that!

The exterior trim is a nightmare. Mine is full of swirls I noticed in the glorious weather and I've only washed it twice and sealed it using fresh microfiber cloths. I can only assume it was done during the PDI!

Just to finish this topic - the cost to supply and rplace the external A-pillar trim came in at £143.00.

I did mine when it was hit by a rock - £35.99 for the trim piece

No too different from the price on my invoice for the part.  Just didn't know how to replace the part myself :(
