I need an armrest

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I just received a Skoda Yeti 1.2 outdoor and this will be my car for the next 3 years via work.

I had limited options available to me but was able to choose wheels and paint. Sadly my insides are very basic and as a big lad I am struggling without and arm rest... Anyone fitted an aftermarket arm rest ?

I would be keen to hear from you or anyone with any recommendations to an aftermarket one that does not require any drilling or damage to the existing fixtures

Is the center armrest no good for you , it slides forward and can raise up to different heights.

Lovely looking Yeti too

I assume that's an S, Clive, and has no center arm rest.

See if you can try one first Jimmy. I am disappointed with mine. It's just not comfortable and when forward it gets in the way of the handbrake. I don't know if it's the arm rest or the position of the gear stick I'm not getting on with, but it's nowhere near as useful or comfortable as the one in my 330.

Yes sadly I don't have one. I was told by the dealer and the lease company the armrest was standard. So I will argue and see if I can get one fitted. Failing that I will look at aftermarket ones and fork out the cash.

I am enjoying the car. I am just very tall and have a long torso so really do need somewhere to stick my arm when I am on a long drive

Hi Jimmy, welcome to Briskoda and Yeti ownership.

Have a look at this thread:

First port of call will be a car breakers yard and try and pick up a proper Yeti centre armrest and jumbo box.

Thanks guys. The other thread was really useful.  Sorry I should have searched.

My only advice - get a 2nd hand genuine skoda one. Don't go aftermarket- especially not an "Armster" one anyway. They're low quality rubbish that never feel particularly sturdy.

Though the official skoda one is flawed in design, in that it is not adjustable enough for height or length, it is still 100% better than any aftermarket one you might find.

Thanks mate. I have asked a few breakers for a price but also having encouraging discussions with the company lease guys, they are looking in to how easy it would be for a main dealer to add one

It would be easy, but relatively expensive.

Yep I am playing the card that it is a business need and they did say it came with one. I know it's not the end of the world and all but I do need one for long journeys. If not it's the breakers yard and I will take a hit

It wouild be for me. I wouldn't even consider any vehicle that didn't have a centre armrest :).
