Ordered Launch Weekend, now en route

Featured Replies

Well surprised!

I had expected a longer wait than this, but had a note to the effect that my "Teddy Bear" (yuck!) has been completed and is heading to the port ready to embark on the next stage of its journey to mid-Wales.

And so, in about ten days time, I will be broke but beaming.  Hopefully.

I will of course let you know, take a pic, appraise, and report initial thoughts.

You did well. In an interview with AutoExpress Skoda's big chief has said that they have sold the full production run for 2017.

I ordered 9th April and was told at the start of this week that mine is actually in the country awaiting transport to the dealers.:biggrin:

Brilliant!! Mine might be as well as it was over a week ago I heard it had been built and was on the way!

Well done you!!

Lets hope they have sorted some of the teething problems out for you guys.

And what teething probs would they be, pray tell us all?

Mainly poorly designed door armrests

Not so sure about poorly designed (possibly), more poorly built (rushed?).

Also be careful when cleaning the rear lights on the tailgate, the underside is sharp.

Several reported failures of the door protector strips causing issues too, as soon as mine did it I took them all off.

At the sound of being, er, repetitive - WHAT issues?  It ain't no good just telling us  they were causing "issues", you need to TELL us!

I would say poorly designed because of the fulcrum point. I checked the tailights and yep they are sharp - has anyone tried just sanding it down a bit?

Door protectors not fully retracting and therefore not allowing door to close.

Door interior handles and armrest partially separating.

I agree the fulcrum point is less than ideal, but you get used to it and I personally don't think its contributing to the separation of parts.

I haven't found any issues in my Kodiaq so far....has been with me for a week.
