Mapped or not???

Featured Replies

I have been using the torque app recently purely out of interest, and also to play around with excel making graphs :) One thing I have noticed is that the boost pressure it is reading hits a maximum of around 15psi.

From my understanding, this would indicate that my vRS is mapped, as the standard boost pressure is around 10psi. I know the most accurate way to tell would be to fit a boost gauge and see what that gives, although I would have thought that the reading from the pressure sensor the ECU uses should be fairly accurate?

What are peoples thoughts? I don't have anything in the paperwork that came with the car to say it has been mapped, basing my assumptions purely on the readings from torque (at the moment)

I think stage 1 max boost which drops off is 1.3 bar or so or 19psi on mine.  Youre at 1 so a halfway house?

The torque app doesn't give accurate readings... bought my car with a boost issue, used the app to see what was boosting, and it wasn't reading right, let alone showing the on off boost that I could feel...

Installed a boost gauge and saw immediately the correct boost, in comparison torqu app was overreading, so i would say you are not mapped....

I have that app and mine shows 22.4psi of boost and mine is on a stage1 map so it doesn't read right,
