Recommended independent VAG near Glasgow/Paisley

Featured Replies

As per the title, are there any VAG specialists in the area to service my vRS tdi. Parks Skoda in Hamilton has terrible reviews so wouldn't trust them.

Thanks in advance

James

There is auditecnik in Bishopbriggs. The owner is time served audi mechanic

I would love to hear what others recommend also.

Good to know, I will review Audi VW repair centre Glasgow as I'm already booked in with them.

Didn't realise James Stewart motor was on my doorstep, literally just 50 metres down the road from me.

Of course.

They offered to pick my car up when I booked but having ocd and not wanting anyone to drive my car I declined, I'll also be taking pictures of my car just before dropping it off and taking note of my mileage.

Car has been dropped off for the service, forgot to reset trip computer but did leave 2 notes in the car saying 'please do NOT wash'. Knew that little piece of plastic on the windscreen to hold parking tickets would come in handy.

Just had a call from the garage, its getting an oil/filter change, pollen filter and brake fluid change as its 24 months old.

Air filter not required as its only done 13,000 miles and I've ordered a new paper filter myself anyway.

Im pretty sure brake fluid is 3 years old then every 2 after that. So not sure why they're doing it now?

Even if that is the case I'd rather do it early, oil/filter isn't due for another 2700 miles but I'm having it done. If the brake fluid wasn't due for another 12 months and they have incorrectly informed me I won't use them again.

The Brake Fluid interval is 3 years then each 2, unless they are testing the brake fluid for H2o content.

Only reason I'm using this garage for the service is my usual garage is always booked 10-14 days in advance as they are always busy, customers always go back there. Trouble is this is the week I have off work so had to use an alternative garage.

You are not here are you?

A member recently posted that his Mk2 vRS Fabia was in and they did a 40,000 mile DSG Oil change on a DQ200 DSG that does not get

40,000 mile oil changes.

Fairly happy with the service, oil/filter, pollen filter, inspection and brake fluid change was done for £178.

Thanks to the notes left in the car they didn't wash it but did vacuum the interior. I think if id been able to book in at my usual garage it would have cost about £150-155.

James

Good to know all went well. Why just fairly happy?

Would be be good to get a good garage that you can rely on.

Its an ok garage and work carried out to a good standard but no waiting room there as its fairly small. I normally use a garage in East Kilbride but due to having to book 10 days in advance I had to look elsewhere on this occasion.
