Clean and Polish

My 2017 Colour Edition after a nice Sunday polish. The new paintwork came up well!

My black Colour Edition comes up lovely after a good clean/wax,the only problem is keeping it nice and clean!,as they say, black does show up the dirt easily.

I had a black metallic golf in a previous existence. It was an absolute pig to keep clean if the cloudbase was anything higher than 500ft. The sun just had to think about coming out and the panels got so hot they were hard to keep looking like the one in the picture, which, by the way looks very nice.

I've now ordered a quartz grey metallic Kodiaq which I imagine is one step below black in the keeping clean stakes. :crying:

My car is black too. Looks amazing when just done but guarantee within a few a metres of getting off the driveway it looks dirty again. I've just started using a detailing spray to keep it looking better between washes and it works pretty well.

Looks good, can't beat black when it's clean. My current car is white and is the worst of both worlds IMO, just as hard to keep clean as black and nowhere near as rewarding when it's right but I knew that when I bought it.

Tell me about it!! I did get a good reflection once, and only once!

One advantage to white is it hides minor scratches and other marks quite well. I've owned one black car in the past, never again, showed up every little blemish and looked dirty five minutes after being washed.
