What format to copy DVD to SD card on my COLUMBUS?

Featured Replies

I'm looking to download some DVD's on a 32GB SD card but I'm unsure what format it needs to be in, am I right in thinking MP4 Video?

I don't think that anything other than a 'proper' dvd format will work.

I use a stand alone Sat Nav that I bought before built in units and smart phones were popular.

I have converted DVD films to .AVI format and they play fine on the Sat Nav using an SD card for storage.

No harm in trying.

I should add that my Sat Nav does have built in choices for playing music, video and text and don't know if this would be a an automatic feature in the Columbus.

sd card is only for audio use. Or for data uploading perhaps such as poi.
