Front Shocks

Recommended Posts

Service crew tell me N/S/F shock is showing a slight leak.

So now I need to replace the front pair.

Question, OEM or the Sachs(?) version of Euro Car Parts for approx. 66 squids each.

Decided to replace the front shocks on the VRS after MOT highlighted leaking shock too. Was told that it would be okay for some time yet, but replaced with Sachs. No issues with fitting and I'm pleased with their performance after 2 years and 30k.  There are more "sporty" or Bilstein OEM options out there, but it is your decision after all.

I'm going along the same thought lines as yourself Graham.

Sachs will do the job just fine, had all the tee shirts, bells & whistles in the past but the extra cost (Bilstein & co) don't wash any more.

Thanks for the advice.

I don't think you'll be disappointed then!
