I've had a door mirror broken and as mine is a L&K it has full options including heating and anti glare anyone got any ideas where I can get one at a good rate?  Thanks

It's so infuriating,  happened to us with our old elegance Superb II and a new one was so expensive I just epoxied the mirror all back together and they never folded in and the glass never.moved again.

 

Glass wasn't broken - just almost every other part.

As I use the car as a taxi I can't just glue it etc so it looks like about £500.+

Hi PWB, what parts of your mirror are damaged - or has it been completely destroyed ? 

I recently had my off-side mirror damaged (side-swiped while parked) Although I originally thought that I would have to have the complete unit replaced, it turned out that it was just the mirror support frame (inner surround bezel) and the indicator module that required replacing, which ended up costing less fitted than my insurance excess.

Well, I found the door mirror and the door mirror assembly sold on TaoBao of Alibaba in China. It looks like about £127 and £96 for each side without postage, respectively. But the seller asked for the VIN to make sure that the assembly can be applied to your MKIII. If you have some friends working in China, this perhaps lower your cost.

Indeed crazy. The whole SRVD system of superb MKIII(both sides, including mirrors, wire, radar and fee to mechanic) in China costs £408.

It would probably be cheaper if you start contacting scrappers and breakers yards 

 

Had some bargains in the past from motorhog.

Did you ever get sorted. I will have a brand new boxed genuine skoda 2014-2023 drivers side mirror glass for L&K if you still need one?

I’m guessing after 7 years and no update, Andy, they’ve probably sorted it!

I've not forgotten you Numskull, just hedging bets! At the dealers next Tuesday will contact you after then.

Ended up having to buy one with the dealers repair quote.

It turned out I did not really need it. The bit we thought was broken wasnt! and the stealer wouldnt take it back.

So now I have a brand new one if any one is interested pm me.
