Morning, 

 

When i first start the car up i am getting the message 'inspection'. The car has just gone over 8k, is this just an early warning because i thought the service intervals were 10k?

Early warning, you'll find if you ignore it for long enough it will eventually start to ping at you (like when the fuel is low Or the temp gets below 3.5)

The Citigo is 15000Km or 12 months for the oil change,why you are getting the advance warning so early is a bit strange.

Then again how old is your car?,IIRC the warning started on My 2013 Citigo aprox' 12 days before its first service was due time wise.

15k is 9,400 miles. My Octy starts counting down at about 900 to go so if you are anywhere around 8,500 miles that's about right I think.

For those who drive a lot it's only good that warning comes early. For those who doesn't drive a lot it doesn't do any harm if warning comes early. Simple but clever.

Think i've done around 8,400 miles now so i can only assume its just a normal early warning. I'll get it booked in asap just to be sure.

Had the car around 9 months, but when was it PDI'd at the dealership and the Service Indicator set to 9,400 miles / 372 days?
