Help with shocks

Recommended Posts

I have a 2010 VRS CR estate 100k last week snapped rear spring (replaced by AA) also front shocks misting (oil) so thought time for a overhaul.

Thinking of eibach springs with bilstein b4s

To keep price down (£350) total...

Or shall I spend a little more ?

Any ideas

I've got the Eibach springs on my estate and am just about to replace the rear shocks with some B4s.  Apparently they are on back order at some stockists in the UK so there's about a 4 week delay (or so I've been told).  When money allows I'll replace the front shocks with the B4s but the rears are the priority at the moment.  They've had a lot of hammer since I lowered the car and when we're fully loaded with all five of us and our luggage I'm conscious that I'm asking a lot of the 9yr old shocks to carry all that weight.

B4s were my original choice eBay set of 4 @£202 and then a toss up between

H&R or eibach springs ?  Looking at about £350 ish.... Or do I go for the B12s @£600

Is it really worth the extra money...

Another question is it worth fitting the eibach anti roll bar kit as well ???

The B12 kit in my opinion is worth the extra but a good in between option price wise is the ST by KW kit - https://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/car-parts/skoda/octavia/st-by-kw-20mm-sport-lowering-springs-shocks-suspension-kitoctavia-1z-vrs-20t-fsi-vrs-20tdi-0106

Uprated ARBs make a big difference to the handling and also don't effect the ride quality so win win.
