VWFS Screw Up The Contract Payments

Featured Replies

A few days ago I received a letter - good old paper style - from SKODA Financial Services - aka VWFS, to tell me that my monthly payments will kick off with an initial payment next week amounting to 5 whole months worth, because VWFS and my dealer combined, failed miserably to trigger the payment process when I took delivery on launch day 6 April 2017.

While I was catching up with my bank accounts recently I noticed that the payments hadn't been taken so I contacted my dealer.

The dealer could only pursue the matter with VWFS and apologise that they, the dealer, should have spotted this earlier since they haven't been getting paid for my car either.

Check your paperwork folks.

Surely the only benefit from this c*ck up is to you?

Pretty sure I'd notice straight away if I hadn't been paying for my car.

So you just got a new car and only now after many months of ownership you have noticed that it has been completly free of charge ?

Who pays your bills? Your wife?

Not if you have to 'catch up' with FIVE payments in one go.  :o
