Octavia - What say you?

Featured Replies

Been arguing with a fellow Octavia driver at work...

She drives an "Oc-TARRRV-Ya".

I drive an "Oc-TAY-vee-ah".

Seen a Škoda thread and a Fabia thread... and even a Labia thread - So how would you pronounce Octavia?

My mates dad calls it an 'Oc-tarrrrrrr-via' and has been know on at least one occasion to call it an 'Oc-ta-vay-a' :D

1st one, that's how they pronounce it in Czechia. Same with Fabia ("Farbia")

Octayvia.

Fahbia.

But its an accent thing too.

Taaaaxi.

too many syllables.

whats wrong with Octy 2 or Fab 3?

No Arrrr in octavaiarrr.

Unless Pirate Steve is driving one.

Skoda Labia? think I've seen a few of them waddling down the street in dangerously stressed leggings

See here :)

Ive no idea but its an idiot magnet when you are trying to sell one.

In the voice of Sean Connery

ShhKoda,

Special cars for special people or even special constables.

If they were ever actually as special as many think they are just because the police used then then the v before the RS might be worth being there.

By the Octavia mk 5 there might be ones available with 300ps or so, or even 280ps from the factory.

oct-tay-vee-ah .. like my fab-ee-ah

I don't know what you lot are on about.

Half of the Continent seems to think that I drive a "Sooper Bee"

See, I always reckoned on Oc-tay-via, as I've known women with that name (and an Augusta, as well) and since your voice is measured in Octaves I figured it would follow that...
