Skoda Roof bars and a Keeper Roof Bag

Featured Replies

I bought some genuine Skoda roof bars from Wolfsburg and a 15 cube roof bag from the US of A.

The bars fitted a treat and very quickly but how do I use the bag to best advantage?

I want to carry relatively light bulky stuff in it. Do I have to sit it on the roof on a pad or make up a

roof basket, as long as it hangs in between the rails. Any other bag users like to comment.

I did consider a roof box but nearly £300 for one with a similar capacity to my Keeper bag.

My bag came from the US of A too. I let her sit in the front passenger seat...

My Keeper bag cost $80.00 all in!!

Roof bags are a great choice for occasional use, as they take up hardly any space when stored. The bag I have (Green Valley) has three metal supports woven into the base and running lengthwise. The outer two supports also hold the brackets that fix onto the roof bars. Beyond that, provided the base of the bag is kept fairly tight, I've never found the need for additional suppport.
