hello

my vRS is remapped, with sport air filter 170bhp.i just put there the cupra intake and i can hear different noise when accelerating, and im little bit confused, does it help my with any gain or i can even loose some horsepower?

i think its good, but how about you what did or do you feel with it and without it?

thanks

ivan

I'm not sure it'll gain you any significant horse power, although you should get a bit more power as the diesel will burn more completely and will hopefully reduce the amount of soot being produced...

What Chris says.

I've not fitted mine yet as I'm waiting till I have time to use vag-com to log any results like increase in MAF readings.

Benefit of the PD160 intake is mainly to get rid of the restrictive pipe and allow nice airflow to the airbox.

It appears to allow revving to 4500 rpm if you wanted to, less tailing off (still tails off though, just not as much of a dive I suppose).

As for bhp related frankly I didnt notice any difference whatsoever, it just pulls for a bit longer. Most of the time (unless remapped) it's a waste of time pulling that high up the rev range however as you'll use more fuel and it's not much quicker (if at all).
