That will be corrected with a machine polish. Maybe try local detailer.

Was just going to say that it doesn't look too bad and should polish out but still I wish people would take more care when in car parks

I feel your pain. You should be able to get it repaired by one of those SMART repair companies rather than getting the whole bumper done. Could always take the opportunity to get the grill colour coded at the same time if it takes your fancyy!!

haha, yeah I thought well at least this will push me to get my grill done sooner!  silver clouds and all that.

probably just the corner and the grill and then get any stone chips fixed too

still what a day ....right off to the pub

Don't blame you...I would be too if I wasn't stuck at work

On a practical note...

Yes I wish folks would be more careful however modern vehicles are getting larger with poor all round visibility, road and carpark systems are becoming ever increasingly cramped and go-kart track like. Blah blah blah, very easily could become a rant!

Long, short and curly of it, annoying as it may be it's not mission critical and don't be in too much of a hurry to shell out on cosmetic repairs. It could happen again tomorrow and surely you don't expect it to look like its spent its life in a glass box.

Have a cool drink and chill, it wasn't personal and $h!t happens.

Yes, the car looks very neat before the scratch and gouges. I also "like" to keep my cars like that ideally. But in all honesty, it doesn't look too bad. Maybe wait for some other damage to the front bumper and tackle it together. May not meet with your obsessive compulsive side. I find it difficult to fight off sometimes too edit: wife says most of the time.  Also, it doesn't excuse the damage and run, but these things just eat you up and make you bitter and twisted, so best to try and put behind you...

During one winter I wasn't able to clean my car  for about 6 weeks. First opportunity I got I was presented with the damage you see here. I have no idea where or when it happened, or by whom. To say I was peeved is to put it politely.

With the standard of driving the way it is, in all probability, it will get damaged again, and as it's not a part that will deteriorate further, I've learned to live with it.

I still clean the car as if it's brand new, even though its 7 years old and has covered over 90,000 miles. I may look at replacing it if it guarantees a sale.

Probably, I'm just not aware of it happening.

Yeah I was gutted... Not as much as the Mrs though .... Left it over the winter then had it sorted.  Cost about£250 if I remember. Great job though you would never have known...

Found it ! Yeah much worse than I remembered !
