It is all really subjective - proper speakers need to be amplified.

Also, depending on what you replace, you might need to run new wiring and add a crossover.

Also, the tweeters are welded to the plastic door insert and you need to have something that is not too big or they won't fit.

The correct speakers that match the OEM impedance should be 4ohm.

There are plenty of good options and taste is subjective, so I suggest a visit to a good car audio specialist and listen to different brands and models of speakers.

Alpine might be a good starting point in terms of price quality, but, to be honest, the biggest problem with the audio quality on this car mainly lies elsewhere than on the speakers...

Thanks for your feedback, fully agree with you that is difficult to select good brand.

I expect some make a test and can share is outcome.

Does someone have tuto to dismount it?

Any 6.5" midwoofer will fit. You will need a spacer between the speaker and the door frame. Im not sure about the tweeter size ...I've bought an 1" tweeter and its larger than the original (so the fitting will be a mess...)

I have Rainbow Germaniums installed in my car. Really like them after they bedded in, but they are powered from a proper amp in the boot. Think the tweeter mounts were changed for them.

No idea what they would be like powered just of the headunit.

Has anyone tried the Focal IS set of speakers specifically designed for integration into VW Group cars on the Octy III (the IS 165 VW set) ?

If they are easy to fit and work on the Octy III then it might be a simple replacement option with minimal wiring or other adjustments.

Hi, great to ask the question  I just buy it 3days ago. I install it into left door. Plan to the right side next Monday

Most interested about wiring and how the tweeters fit.

I know the stock ones are plastic welded to the mount...

Hi

First unpack give you the impression of quality. And speaker are really good quality.

Remove of one need few materials and you will need to drill old fixation.

New speaker fit perfectly well. The only think is to increase fixation hole with 8mm drill.

After you need to buy vw fixation kit, plastic, to fix new speaker.

Pay attention to select speaker with or without tweeter in as the plug is not the same.

In my case with canton, no need to have tweeter in. Bad luck for me. I select wrong one.

I recommand it. 2hours to install it with no knowledge. Very good sound.

to me complete different, and you will feel it directly with the quality of speaker compare to other one. the Canton one is really cheap ....

Bass are really better , more deep.

One thing to pay attention on, is the wire and fixation in order to remove vibration parasite.

If you have any question, please let me know
