Folding mirrors

Featured Replies

Hi

I don't have the function on my car as per standard spec. Anyone know whether the correct motor is installed already and whether i can change a setting to have auto fold mirrors on lock/un-lock?

Thanks

You almost certainly do not have the motors fitted in the wing mirrors unless the car had power fold mirrors spec'd at build time.

It's possible to add them but you'll need:

- new wing mirrors with motors

- new mirror switch with 'folded' position

- possibly new door controllers with pins for motors

To make them fold, you'll either need to use the mirror switch or hold down the lock button on the remote fob.

To make them unfold, you'll either need to use the mirror switch or they can automatically unfold with drivers door opening or ignition.

Hmm

OUt of interest my Yeti is a 16plate Mote Carlo.

I was hoping the motors were fitted and I just needed a code to enable the function.  If I need all the above I'll leave well alone.

Thanks

Just tried holding down the button and they folded, didn't know they did that, thanks for the heads up!

Have a look and see if any windows have lost the "One Touch Function"
If any have hold the button up to close it, release it then hold up again for a few seconds.
If anything like the Yeti the mirrors should fold on a more than 2 second press on the fob.

Thanks I will try that and let you know .
