DSG Fault Codes

Featured Replies

Hi,

Ran a scan via OBDEleven of my car this morning and it came back with a range of faults on my DSG box. Should I be worried about these?! Anyone seen similar with VCDS/OBDEleven?

Thanks,

Never seen these on any of the DSGs I have had but have you noticed any issues whilst driving?, if not clear the codes and see if they come back, if they do = dealer visit

I haven't noticed anything specific, apart from sometimes it seems a bit clunky dropping from 2nd to 1st. I'm booked in for a service next Friday so tempted to leave the codes there and ask them to investigate whilst it's in.

Did you scan the car while the engine was running?

If you did then it's probably nothing to worry about, clear the codes and run it again with the engine off.

I have exact same errors for a long time. I guess you can expect this problem as well:

My dealers still havent do anything about it.

To the OP, those codes suggest the shift solenoids in the mechatronics unit are faulty, plus the selector lever assembly needs replacing.

Well they should replace the shift selector mechanism, as it's a fairly well documented error.

Thanks all who posted. I've had the selector error fault for some time and the code keeps coming back after being cleared so will raise this.

Thinking about it the engine might have been "on' with start stop active as I'd just parked up which may account for some of the other codes I haven't seen before.

Is there a place where this documentation can be seen?

Dealer should have it listed as 'fairly' common problem. There was never a recall but the techs should definitely know if this issue.

Problem is engine is OFF! Run engine and there wil bee no errors.

Toni, I'm sorry to hear still not sorted. The other thread has my dealer details. Hopefully they can talk to your dealer & help you out?

Cheers,

I guess its all about chasing your warranty, at least where I live..

Yes. It's a known fault for both VW & Skoda. There's a TPI.

It should be fixed without question.
