DPF EGR & Remap

Recommended Posts

So my trusty 2010 VRS CR is off next week for a DPF removal and EGR delete plus a remap also a piper cross panel filter for good measure. I've read loads of threads on just remapping but does anyone on here have the same mods and is 225 bhp a little optimistic or any comments on how noticeable the power increase will feel ?

Hi, it depends on who does the work - there are very few direct sellers of remaps - they tend to buy them from a highly skilled specialist - some admit this some don't.

You might see rolling road (RR) reports from some of these companies - check the before/ after temperatures, before/ after atmospheric pressure (Mbars), before/ after (RR) correction factors - if there are variances in these figures think carefully.

Ive done the same to mine & was told by the tuner it would be somewhere between 215-225bhp, having not had it on the the rollers don't know the exact figure. As for will you notice the difference, yes u will & also fuel economy is also improved.

Virtually no extra smoke, the amount of smoke will be down to the tuner & how the map is written, yea car is noticeably quicker when u push it.

i just installed my chip and running 226bhp with a huge fuel enhancement too, the thing is like a train now will just push and keep pushing, no smoke either, slight chatter at 3k but now resolved due to a split diaphragm.
