Just out of interest, what discreet dash cam set up would be the best for a mk2 Octavia?

 

I have been running a Nextbase 212 lite for the last 12 months or so. It was fitted behind my rear view mirror on my previous car which had a RLS and was totally hidden.

 

My new car does not have a RLS so there is not enough room behind the rear view mirror to hide it totally.

 

I am just wondering what dash cams preferably with a screen can hide totally behind the rear view mirror without RLS?

 

Any suggestions gratefully received.

I've just fitted a Viofo? A119 V2 dashcam to my FL. Unit is very small and records in 1440p. Very quick, simple and neat installation to get the usb cable run around to power source. I did buy a usb lead with a right angled connector, as the supplied lead would come out at right angles.

Have you any photos of this installed, I'd be interested in something like this.

I use the thinkware f7750 front and rear cameras 

I do have some pics, I'll resize them and upload.

Pics added. I've powered the dashcam via a power only USB connection into the back of my Android infotainment module.

Make sure you get new A119S model, it is MUCH better quality video with Sony sensor and Novatek chipset. Only 99 with GPS and hardwire kit. I got one myself.

A Blackvue hides nicely.
