Hi everyone

Featured Replies

I'm not new but have been in the Yeti section for a number of years.

I'm joining the Kodiaq section and my wife and I are getting a Kodiaq early next year.

I was VERY impressed after having driven my Yeti for nearly 7 years.

The Kodiaq feels not quite as 'twitchy' as the yeti, but feels just as planted and positive around corners.

Looking forward to finding new friends and hearing about new experiences.

Welcome!

It's early days yet roman, the Yeti section is where I have 'hung out' is always busy.

You'll love the Kodiaq.

Ours replaces a petrol L&K Yeti which itself replaced a diesel 'black edition' Yeti.

I must say that although the Kodiaq seems to ride a little better than a Yeti possibly due to the longer wheelbase you do feel the extra size in the corners.

I suppose there's little they can do about that.

Even going from a L&K with extras to an SE the Kodiaq still feels impressive.

Only a little?

The one think that always disappoints me with out Yeti (F/L L&K) is how crashy the ride is, the Kodiaq (even on 19” wheels) is much better (not quite as good as the Superb mind)

Well we DO have a double garage hahaaaaa

Can't justify two Kodiaqs but would be nice.

Wow, early next year! I was told 6 months minimum but something strange happened and 6 months became 7 weeks. The 7 weeks happens to end on Monday and I'm looking forward to handing over the Octavia vRS. I wish you the same luck!

Sorry, maybe I was unclear.

We will 'order it' next Feb or March, hopefully will not take long to arrive from Eastern Europe.

Thank you 666djb, and all the best when you collect your new car.

Not sure what those will be like, but I'm aiming for the 'edition' edition haha :tongueout:

I believe the "edition" was meant to be an introductory spec for the first year, I could be wrong though.

I was talking to Skoda here about it and you could well be right. They told me the factory builds Active (ACT), Ambition (AMB) and Style (STY).

They are the "base" levels from which importers (like Skoda UK or Skoda Ireland)  can add options to create their own "Trim" or "Spec" levels, like the "Edition".  They reckoned the Edition in the UK is a "STY" with with Skoda UK specifying a number of options for it. There is no Kodiak L&K yet - but if/when there is one, it will probably be just like the other Skoda models -  an "STY" or an Elegance - "ELE" - with the factory installing an L&K Luxury Pack.

(When I bought my S2 I asked about the difference between it and an L&K - I was told the L&K was an Elegance with the pack installed. You could create the same spec by adding options to the Elegance but you wouldn't get the L&K badges, specifically embossed L&K seats etc).
