hi there any one any ideas where the drivers door courtesy light switch is to be found on an 02 plate octavia the red warning light and interior lights have failed and the sensor for the central locking so it auto relocks itself ive looked at the red light and all it needs is an earth so im guesing the wire has broken or come off the switch, cheers.

I have the same problem!

I think the fault is the micro switch on the door lock,thats where the door switch is(think i'm right).If im right its a matter of stripping the door card off to get at the lock.

I'm going to do mine when it gets warmer.
