Octavia VRs - What To Look For?

I've browsed the forum and a few other sites to try and get some ideas of what I need to look for when I'm going to look at new cars but thought I'd post up here to see what I've missed.

All the usual things like HPI checks and hunting for signs of accident damage are easy enough but is there anything Octavia-specific that I should be aware of?

The car is only 3.5 years old with about 35k miles on the clock and full Skoda service history. It's a manual so no DSG to be worrying about.

I've got access to VCDS so is it worth sticking the computer on it to see if there's any faults floating around?

Are there any common issues I should be looking for when I test drive the car?

It all looks and sounds pretty good but I seem to have a habit of not buying the best used cars!
