Hi All,

 

I own a Octavia MKII 1.8 TSI, there is a slight oil mist from the front left side shock absorber. I have an advisory on MOT and Skoda has recommended to replace both front shock absorbers.

 

Can anyone please recommend me a good replacement for OEM shock absorbers. I have read few forums and seems there are few good brands (Blistein, KYB, Sachs).

I've fitted sach all round mine recently 

seen a good enough shock 

I put Bilstein B4 on mine and am happy with the results.

Thanks, Could you let me know if these prices are for all four shock absorbers or just the front 2 ?

 

Also, Do you know how can I find the strut diameter ?

All four shocks.

 

You can either measure it of Skoda should be able to tell you from your chassis number.

You can tell the strut size by the brake discs size too, 288mm or 312mm will be 55mm strut whereas 280mm will be 50mm strut diameter
