Does Skoda even consider price matching? I am thinking of  getting a few quotes from local garages and taking the best one to Skoda to see if they can match it

Do don't tell us what you are trying to Price match ?

Feel you need to be be a bit more explicit in details of what or even which you are looking to price match, this applies to your other  recent post ref: prices offered on something your car needs

( basically if someone is providing a service to you as a form of ' earning ' their income only thing for certain is in some shape or form you will pay for it !! )

If you get a quote for the work using genuine parts, they might offer to price match it.

 

If the parts aren't genuine, you won't have much chance.

 

They were happy to price match a local garage when I had my cambelt/waterpump/aux belt replaced earlier this year
