Ok, I'm 100% new here and new to owning a Skoda, i currently own VW's. I've recently bought a friends 05 reg Fabia VRS. I bought it to sell on but after driving it for the weekend i might keep it. I'm not sure if he was a member on here or not?

Hello anyways :D

Hello Flip Flops,

Welcome to Briskoda, hope you'll keep it!

My first was an outwardly-similar Mk1 Fabia, but 1.4tdi PD, re-mapped to almost 100bhp, it moved well once over 2,000rpm!

Hi Richard :), i'm in 2 minds if to keep it. My daily hack is a Lupo Tdi that's on 250k and literally a mile muncher. I had planned to sell this straight on but it drives really nice but in all honesty i think it's too good for a daily for me.

Silly as it sounds, what i love about it most is the Black interior and headlining/handles/mirrors etc. I had a Mk4 1.8t Anni many moons ago and this too was all black. The skoda is a nice place to sit. I really didn't think i would like it as much as i have. That's why i signed up on here, too see what the car's all about really.

I'm guessing your old Fabia 1.4tdi has the same engine as my Lupo?

Hello FlipFlop welcome along to the Skoda froum go on keep .;)

Hi Jed, the more I drive it the more im thinking I will. It's not got all the toys of the new cars that are out but it's a well good allrounder, from what I've experienced so far. That's only about 300 miles, it's taken me by surprise tbh :)
