Does your vacuum-oil pump make noise when cold (diesel engines)

Featured Replies

Hi there,
Following the thread from skodilakrs1 (Octavia mk.3)  I would like to ask if more people have noticed the vacuum-oil pump noise when car is cold (50-80 deg.)?

Symptoms are - noise is heard very loud at the left bottom side (around the wheel arch). When car is at operational temperature it disappears.
Some people report that pressing the brake pedal make it disappear for a while, some not.

I've spoken w/ the local service and was told "not a common issue", skodilakrs1 got an answer that new one might not fix the noise.
