So, as per the title, I have lurked around this site for years (although I couldn't remember any of my login details this time, so have had a join again as a newbie), coming back when I was on the cusp of buying one Skoda or another, viewing the classifieds here in the hope of finding my perfect car, but it was never meant to be.

 

Yesterday however, things changed slightly!

 

We are currently on our third car via Motability as both of our kids are disabled and the scheme works brilliantly for us, but, it's a manual, and as I now have increased pain and discomfort in my left side due to Arthritis, driving a manual can be tricky at times.

 

So, after finally accepting my condition and speaking to Motability yesterday, they have agreed we can end our current lease early (1 year into a 3 year contract) and order another new car.

 

We needed Automatic, preferably 4wd and enough room for me at 6ft 4 and 2 teenage kids that we have to physically lift into and out of the car.

 

Whilst we would've ideally had another SUV, that's not an option, so an Octavia Scout (slightly raised height) was an option along with a Superb SEL (masses of legroom) or ideally, if we all fit, an Octavia Vrs.

 

So, long story (not very short), we have today ordered an Octavia Vrs Tdi DSG 4x4 Estate in Meteor Grey with Red Stitching and the Black Design Package Plus...... can't wait, but sadly we have to and apparently it's 10-12 weeks.

 

 

Good luck with the vRS, it should look well with that colour and spec.  The wait is always a pain but that lead time sounds about right

Looking forward to getting it obviously. Strange, but I can't say I like the colour or the 'Extreme' wheels, but had to have them because I do like their potential!

 

The part's list for that potential will gradually be whittled down over the next 3 months, so when the car arrives, the potential will be quickly realised.
