my 1.4 16v fabia is off for its first service of my ownership on thursday.i'm taking it to a former skoda dealer where i bought it from.

i'm hoping not to get ripped off,so i need to know where i can see the oil filter from, then mark it.will i be able to see it from above or below ??

was ripped of a few years ago when i had a fiesta but you could see the oil filter easily.

It's on the front left of the engine just under the plastic cover. It should be metal, painted black and have a large hexagon on the end to help you undo it with a socket. Hope thats some use to you.
