Hello everyone

Featured Replies

Bought my first ever Skoda 18 months ago.  Previously had a 3 series BMW which was nice, but now I can safely say I prefer the Skoda.  I thought long and hard before buying the DSG variant but I'm glad that I did, 15k of carefree motoring thus far.  Car has just gone in for the 'fix' this week and I'm picking it up tomorrow, I hope its not broken!  Due to a new job I'm considering selling it on and buying a Yeti 4x4.

Hello Abhayaka welcome along to the Skoda forum good to have you with us don't have the fix done you'll be sorry  leave it has is .

Hi there, welcome!  I had a long think before going down the DSG route but so glad I did now.

Hi Jed, too late!  I got the 'fix' letter a while back and didn't think anything of it.  Then the day before I was due to get the car back I was chatting to a mate and he mentioned all the complaints, etc.  I couldn't believe it, when I got home I spent the next four hours on this site and others reading up on it.  Still can't quite actually believe the VAG are knowingly pushing something on to their customers that will damage their car (trusting fool?).  Anyway, like I said its too late for me and I'll have to wait and see what happens.

Hi Superb170, I've been driving for 35 years and never owned an automatic.  The DSG is really sweet but I do occasionally worry that it will fail catastrophically and cost me and arm and a leg to fix.
