Hi.. Has anyone got exact details on how to remove 2011 Octavia wing mirror cap, I've seen a couple of youtube vids, but I've a feeling they are removing caps/covers on 2009 or later cars!? Mine just doesn't seem to clip out.. Is there a couple of screws in behind the mirror glass, I have no issue removing mirror glass. Thank You.

Ok, so anyone who has similar issue>>> remove the mirror glass, and you will see two screws holding the mirror cap in place.. Then and ONLY then you can unclip and lift cap/cover off... So hope you like my new styling/mod.

Way to dazzle yourself and miss a vulnerable road user i.e. pedestrian, (motor)cyclist.

 

Are they visible from the side/front?

 

If not they may fail an MOT, and may in any case as they are a visual distraction affecting your rear view..

Never seen that before. Different!

 

As mentioned screw school behind. Quick yank of the mirror and it'll click off.

Got distracted ...

So been driving around 2 days and 2 nights with my new wing mirror indicators and I can say>> during day light there is absolutely no way that the indicators effect or lessen my view of the road, in fact the soft orange spots are barely visible from my driving seat position..... Night driving>>> the soft orange spots of the indicators are clearly visible but again do not interfere or impede my view or judgement of the road or surrounding immediate area!? That said... I can see where an over zealous or strict tester or Garda would be of the view that these 'added' addition to any car may not be legal and therefore should be removed!? If that's the case and as a professional driver I would without hesitation remove said indicators and wait for clarification....

 

This is a daylight pic.. I tried to take the photo straight on and close to the light, my seated view means I see even less brightness and colour, actually barely able to see them flashing at all, all I really see is a clear mirror!?
