Just a quick passing thought - has anyone retrofitted the smartgate module to a mk2?

 

Had a quick google and found some people had fitted them to the rapid but nothing for the mk2.

There are headunits out there from places like Halfrauds who have apple car play and androids equivalent which is probably easy than trying to retrofit a modern system into an older car. I doubt the cars canbus system is compatible with SmartGate! 

 

But then I am not totally sure on smartgate.

Yeah its specifically the canbus/smartgate integration i'm curious about. I've retrofitted an RCD330+ Headunit which has carplay enabled (works great, see my post history). I was just wondering about the app connectivity for smartgate for telematics and that sort of thing.
