Sportline 190tdi DSG ??

Featured Replies

Got new sportline 190 tdi dsg. Compared to my old manual VRS tdi. The gears are a little satellite delay when flooring it in sport mode.

Is that normal on only 100 miles driven, does it get better. I'm at the lights , see a ****ty supped up nonsense corsa and say , Ah ! , your dust.

That sounds more like throttle response rather than the dsg gearbox.

Also the gearing on a dsg will be different than on a manual, possibly even more so when comparing a vrs to a superb.

Definitely throttle lag. Try it in launch mode if you want to really frighten yourself.

Tell me more. How do you get launch mode. Haven't seen it in all the many screens.

Page 138 of the manual

Launch control1) The launch control function allows the vehicle in mode S or Tiptronic to reach its maximum acceleration when starting off. ›Disable the TCS » page 143, Braking and stabilisation systems. ›START STOP deactivate » page 132, Manually deactivating/activating the system. ›Fully depress and hold the brake pedal with your left foot. ›Fully depress the accelerator pedal with your right foot. ›Release the brake pedal. The vehicle starts off with maximum acceleration. ›Reactivate the TCS and START STOP when the desired speed has been reached. WARNING Rapid acceleration, particularly on slippery roads, can lead to loss of control of the vehicle – risk of accident!

Maybe with only 100 miles covered keep 'Driving / Running in'  the new tyres, new brakes, new suspension, even the new engine & gearbox and then see once all the newness is off the brakes, bearing and importantly the tyres.

Once the tyres are all nice and less new see if there is any wheel spin, then switch off TC and see if any power being cut.

?

Have you checked & reset the tyre pressures & the TPMS yet to get an idea how well the PDI was carried out?
