Traffic Assist

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just ordered a new Superb L&K 4x4 DSG,  Diesel and wondered if I should have added at the Traffic Assist as an option - I have specified a rear camera, heated steering wheels (my hands get cold if I am out photographing of a day, spare wheel, rear window wipe and heated front nozzles. I do about 16 - 18k miles a year and car not due until end of November.

Any thoughts on the worth of Traffic Assist?

Appreciate any thoughts

Scott

Had my one a week, and used it many times on the motorway now! - works well with DSG :)

Would recommend to anyone who is thinking about it.

Do you mean Travel Assist (traffic sign recognition) or Traffic Jam Assist (radar-guided cruise control right down to a standstill)?

The traffic jam assist , although I found the traffic sign recognition, in a previous car (Mercedes c180), was useful . Am I right in thinking the l and k with traffic assist means it will be able to do traffic jam assist ?

Apologies for the the basic question, new at all this.

kind regards

A L&k will come with the camera needed for traffic jam assist as it uses the dsg,  lane assist and acc to function if what I have read elsewhere is right.

So I would guess you already have it active with your car.

Traffic sign recognition would just be a vcds activation away as well with the front camera.
